National Achievers' Congress 2008

I've just spent 3 amazing days at the NAC 2008, where I've learnt from MultiMillionaires like Blair Singer, T.Harv Eker, Roger Hamilton, Dr Clemen Chiang, etc. They changed my way of thinking, teaching me to think BIG, reach for the stars, and take decisive action over how I want my life to turn out. I feel so inspired, and I wish to share this with all my yoga students, giving them much much more than a yoga program.
I'm made many friends and business contacts over these 3 days, the whole congress has just been mind-blowing!
I've also signed up with blogcatalog.com This website will allow more online users to reach my blog and read it. http://www.blogcatalog.com/directory/sports

Booming yoga times!

I've joined California Fitness as a freelancer since Nov 2007, and been teaching there as well as some cover classes at Amore Fitness. It is always fufilling to teach, especially when students come to thank you or request for more of your classes. I love every minute of teaching!
Will be teaching a group of dancers soon, probably starting in March. That will be challenging as I expect their bodies to be fit and flexible.
Also contributing yoga articles to Nautique, should be out in the March/April issue, or the May/June issue.
Basically my yoga business is accelerating since 2008. Looking forward to everyday!

Power Yoga with Ross

Attended a Power Yoga workshop at Pure Yoga yesterday. It was conducted by a Caucasian instructor named Ross. He explained that Power Yoga actually refers to Vinyasa yoga, which means flowing movements that follow the breath. He also explained what was Ujjayi breathing, and demonstrated it. Ujjayi breathing was breathing by the back of the throat, such that a wave like sound is made with each inhalation and exhalation. This breathing is supposed to be used throughout a Power yoga class.
Power yoga is very different from Sivananda. It involved plenty of standing poses, and alot of arm strength is needed. My shoulders and arms are still aching today. Attention was paid to using core strength and proper posture, so as not to injure the back. Relaxation was done in Hare's pose, but Ross called it Child's pose although our arms were stretched out infront of us.
Class ended with Bridge, then Plough, then Savasana.
If I get time, I'll take some pics of the poses we went through. I plan to take a few classes there to experience the various types of Yoga, and incorporate it into my teaching.
